Trips

I offer Maine backcountry canoe voyages and hiking trips. Each journey is tailored to the individual, family or group that books it. Homeschool families or groups will find ideal field trip weeks outside the public school vacations. For coed groups, I hire an additional female guide. Bird and wildlife watchers as well as photo enthusiasts, will find ample opportunity to pursue their hobby. The emphasis of your time on the river and/or the mountain can be a contemplative one, or simply a learning experience of voyaging in the remote North Woods of the beautiful state of Maine. Duration of the trips can be from one day to several weeks. We will never hurry! We follow the ancient canoe trails of Maine’s early inhabitants and often travel through country that has not changed for hundreds of years. One of the good things in canoe camping is the fact that we do not have to skimp on equipment. We will eat and sleep well out there and I will make your experience a safe and enjoyable one.
